In the middle of Chennai city is a small cafe where something exceptional happens every evening. After customers are done collecting their coffee and leaving the cafe, The owner opens it to invite in a couple of fluffy little friends. Instead of calling it quits and shutting down, the owner decides that strays should be allowed in to lay on this nice warm floor. It was really lovely and having a dog friendly cafe next is one that will suit both humans and dogs alike.

The Owner’s Kind Heart

The owner of the cafe is an animal lover, dogs in particular. Numerous unsightly dogs make walks on the avenues, go through dry areas by ways for food and refuge. The owner, wants to HELP THEM. He lets them sleep inside so they will stay warm! His sympathetic act is an easy way of bringing basic comfort to those dogs homeless.

Delighted Dogs, Delighted Customers

After closing, a few dogs wander into the cafe each night They settle into their beds on soft mats or in a pile. We get a lot of customers coming in just to see the dogs. Some even carry treats or food for them. This breaks the ice and creates a fun, friendly environment. People sit with their coffee and get to watch these dogs reclining and playing, feeling secure in the company of other friendly humans.

A Community Fuels Kindness

It is some sort of a small community hub within the cafe. Some chat about their dogs (stories afterwards). They even have customers who come in just to see the dogs. Which, in turn draw repetitively same customers to the cafe that would help grow business. This way, it is a win-win for all parties involved. The dogs get a good nights sleep and the cafe more friendly tail-wagging faces.
