My Exciting Day at the Shelter

A Very Important Day For Me Today One day, my friend invited me to go visit a shelter. She told us we were going to get a dog who needed a home. I was happy but I started to feel a bit nervous. I had never stepped foot in a shelter prior.

The Moment We Arrived

I then reached the shelter and my heart had started to pound by this time. I had no idea what to expect. He just smiled at me and told, “our dog is waiting for us!” Excited to know what the dog was. We entered through the door.

Meeting the Dog

We walked in and I saw the cute dog sitting under a table. It stared back at us, big eyed and bright. Oh, those hopeful eyes . Its face I will never forget. It said… “I have been waiting for you! It was nearly impossible to keep tears in my eyes.

Bonding with the Dog

Me and my buddy walking down the dog It started wagging its tail and jumping up around us. I got on my knees and let it smell me. The dog nudged my hand with his tongue — wg That was why I knew, in that instant , we were to become best friends. We would all play together and laugh so much.

Bringing the Dog Home

After spending time with the dog we decided to take it home. It was an easy choice. We even called it Buddy because we were going to be best friends. The disiplinary office taught me a lo handsome man y of our homeless friends continue to struggle, yet I left the shelter feeling as if my heart was full with joy. Inside my heart I knew that Buddy would bring happiness and fun into our house.

This day was more than a visit to a shelter. It was the start of a beautiful friendship. I can’t wait for all the fun times we will share together!
