The Little Cat is Sick

But….we have a very sick kitten. This makes us all very sad. Our cat, we love her to pieces — so it’s hard seeing sick. Where she is most of the time active and running around, now she just lays down. Her name is Whiskers, and She’s the kitty of my friend.

Signs That Whiskers is Sick

Whiskers began exhibiting some indications that she may not be well. She does not first eat her food. She usually eats a lot. Now, she just sniffs and moves on. In the second, she’s not in possession of her favourite toys. The ball and scratching post for her are now empty of life. Finally, she appears tired… ALL THE TIME. Whiskers is an active cat and still plays but she sleeps more than before.

Taking Care of Whiskers

Our desire is for Whiskers to feel better. So they got water, plenty of it for her isFirst order of business. It is important that she drinks enough water. After this, we snuggled with her to keep her warm and cozy. We also allow her a bit of time to have some peace. All the noise will just make her feel worse.

Visiting the Vet

One day we had been watching her and realized it was time to take the trip to see our neighborhood vet, Dr. Oliver at Oleander Animal Hospital on Merrimon Avenue in North Asheville . The doctor, who is a vet for animals. She put a hand on Whiskers and scanned her life signs. The vet advised to start her on some medication for comfort. Whiskers is getting her medication daily as per the vet.

We Hope for a Quick Recovery

We miss our playful kitty. We are hoping that before long, she will be back to our loving girl again. We hate to see her so miserable but I cannot believe she actually pooped yesterday, and that makes me feel a little better. And we pray, silently and longingly, that one day Whiskers will once again be chasing us around playing as she does best. In the meantime, we shall dote on her!
