A Sick Calf and a Kind Dog

The Lonely Calf

For instance once upon a time, under the bright sun on a very hard ground lay one young calf all alone. The calf was very sick and poorly. It was so exhausted that it could not even get up. It was surrounded by grass, which was green and fresh but the calf just lay there not even having the will to munch on it. It looked sad and lonely.

The calf lowed quietly, but to no avail. It felt scared and unsure. It was so quiet on the farm, and all of the other animals were away in different places. Poor little lonely calf, just needed a buddy to cuddle throughout the night.

The Arrival of the Dog

A moment later a dog named Max appeared out of nowhere. Max enjoyed all animals on the farm with their playing attitude. He immediately recognized the isolated baby calf it ran to. Max suddenly stopped and sniffed the air when he found there a little calf, looking also sad. He knew something was wrong.

Max wagged his tail, gave a bit of soft wuff. The poor calf looked up to see the loving dog. Max just sighted in front of us, and it made me feel a little bit better. Unable to rise, the calf was consoled by warm reassurance of friendly company;

Helping the Calf

Max wanted to help the calf. It set along side it and lay with him. The warmth of Max beside the calf was a comfort. He gently licked the calf across its entire face, and why not try to make it feel loved. The sick calf closed its eyes and felt a little bit more at ease.

Then the dog ran back to his farmer for help. He begun to bark louder and woke the farmer up. The farmer then tried to follow Max as far back into the forest, and this is where he found his sick calf!

A Happy Ending

A kind farmer, who was affectionate towards the calf . He gave it food and water. The calf got better and went back home with the dog and the farmer. Pretty soon, it was up and even playing with Max. There was a loyal friend keeping the calf company this time. Praise the Lord, they were always together, smiling on that farm.
