A Fun Day with Buddy and Oliver

Cutting Buddy’s nails is ALWAYS an adventure. Buddy is my cheerful dog. He enjoys playing and running in the yard. Grooming him can become a challenge at times but it is essential. I figured that today it as good a time as any, to clip his nails and trim the fur on his paws.

Buddy’s Nail Trim

I grabbed my knives, called over Buddy. He knew what was coming. I sat on the floor and got everything set up I also brought the clipper to cut their nails, and some food. He even gets a treat to keep him relaxed during grooming and he loves them!

As I started to cut, however, Buddy’s fur seemed like the model of softness. Nice touch after a good brush does not bother him. Tail wagging and my hand feeding the kiss, he showed his affection. I completed one paw and moved to the second. I could hear some little sounds the whole time I was working .

Oliver Joins the Fun

I looked up and there was Oliver! Oliver was our cat, and he is still around. He laid down beside us. And he was just hanging out, all comfy and contemporary. I couldn’t help but laugh. My god, this entire time I was just concerned about Buddy’s nails and Ollie is sprawled out like one big lovely pillow. He enjoyed becoming part of the action, even if he did not participate in the grooming.

A Happy Ending

It took me a while but I clipped Shurtle’s nails. He looked content and pleased, his paws well-groomed. His tail was wagging away so I gave him a treat, and oh did he ever continue to wag it. So, I went up to Oliver andspread cthe love.

After all, it was Buddy and Oliver Day. They’re both amazing animals and times like these make me appreciate how much character pets can bring to our lives We are having that #hairdate soon and I am so excited!
