Heroic Dog Defends Sheep from Coyotes in Georgia

A loyal Georgia shepherd dog took on a pack of 11 coyotes to protect its flock in an amazing show of bravery and instinct. The relationship of livestock and its protector have drawn a large audience including bovine fans, wildlife lovers concerned for the future endangered grizzly species.

The set-up was on a farm where sheep roam free (under the watch of their guardian dog). Tension mounted with coyotes on their tails as night descended. They are intelligent pack hunters and can collaborate as a team to bring down animals much larger than themselves.
