Celebrating My Dog’s 9th Birthday!

My dog turns 9 today, and that deserves to be celebrated. Just yesterday it seemed he was a wee pup running around the house… He was really high energy, constantly bouncing off the walls playing. He is still such a wise older dog that gives me so much happiness in my life.

The Puppy Days

As a puppy, my dog would climb and run around the house like crazy. He would chase his tail and play with toys perpetually. At times he would get so excited, he’d zoom around the yard. Oh, those were great times and I laughed A LOT at his ridiculousness. He was boundless in his energy and it brought a smile to my face every single day.

Growing Up Together

While he grew older over the years, Lucky has never lost his playful side. He finally learned some tricks, such as sit, stay and roll over. He enjoyed running through the park taking in all of the smells as he passed by. Each walk was an adventure. The memories and moments we shared, were so numerous I hold them dear.

The Joy of Cuddles

He is nine now, so has calmed down somewhat. He loves to cuddle on the couch forever Then he will try to rest his head on my Lap, and I start Mildly petting him. They are every bit as important and incredibly special, those quiet moments. He may not dance as much in the yard anymore but, he never fails to hit a funny bone that will have me laughing.

Looking Forward

So, the dog does have a birthday today. There are many more years I hope to spend with you. More long walks, zoomies or happy moments yet to come. For my best buddy on his birthday! Happy birthday, dear friend!
