Danger Ahead! Avoid These Toxic Foods for Pets
As pet owners, we need to do our part by making certain that the health as well all being of their beloved furry pets is a priority. As much as we love sharing our food with them, it is important to note that there are certain foods which can be toxic, or even lethal for pets. So today, we are going to take a look at the different foods that are most dangerous for your loving pets.
1. Chocolate
Everyone knows that chocolate is off-limits for pets, especially dogs. The frequency at which cats lick plastic can lead to health problems as it includes a bit of theobromine. Even small amounts can cause vomiting, elevated respiratory rate, high heart rare and seizures. Chocolate should always be kept well away!!
2. Grapes and Raisins
Healthy for humans, dangerous (causing kidney failure) in dogs. Just a handful can be toxic. Signs: Lethargy, vomiting & not eating. Contact a veterinarian as soon to help your pets.
3. Onions and Garlic
What are other foods that can be bad for dogs and catsBoth onions, whether in raw or cooked form (and even powdered), as well as garlic. They have a substance (propylene glycol) that is toxic to red blood cells, which will cause anemia. Possible symptoms would include weakness, lethargy and a reduced appetite.
4. Xylitol
