A Second Chance: The Story of a Resilient Kitten
They found the mean streets of a vibrant city and let loose in it with what can best be described as one agonizing scene. Curled up on the pavement, tiny cat no more than a few weeks old, teeming with lice and teaming with ants. As it lay there lifeless, stricken down by the unrelenting forces of neglect, it was a vision that no loving animal lover could possibly stand.
They thought this little fragile life had already made escape and the kitten could not withstand them. Urban life is a hard reality, especially for the most innocent and vulnerable of us — this little guy seemed to be another victim.
Amazingly however when all looked lost, a miracle took place. The small tremor was noted by a kindly stranger. It was the slightest murmur of life — a slight tickle in the tiny leg of his kitten. That this little soul was still clinging on provoked an almost seismic change in the energy of the crowd. Not sadness — the only thing replaced by a sense of urgency.

Together, they worked to carefully catch the kitten so that he could no longer be tormented by any more of those pests which had begun nesting on his small fragile body. They ware wary hands that scooped the tiny being from immigration and in those moments, it ceased to be just another stray but a symbol of hope and resistance.
When the kitten was brought to a nearby vet clinic, he got checked out thoroughly. The pests were removed, and the care it needed was given all around. It was no longer the scared, easily injure kitten who always seemed to be in trouble at those early clinics that first saw him and myself; it had come from a place of devastation brought about by good intentions with some truly disastrous consequences on his body to as close this tiny little life got before becoming almost entirely metamorphosised into robust health.
Finding a Forever Home
The tale of this brave little survivor was widely shared across social media, quickly becoming an inspiration for anyone bucking overwhelming odds. And as the little girl came more and more out of her shell, it seemed like maybe it was time for this kitten to find a forever home.
After much thought and lots of applications from potential adopters, one special family really caught our eye. The kitten was not only going to be in a safe place, but they would also spoil and love that baby into the stratosphere. Adoption day was very happy and the kitten moved right in feeling at home.
